COVID Testing for Students

As you’ve probalby already learned from SPS communications ,  Monday January 3 will be a non-instructional day ( “No School”) in order to facilitate a district-wide rapid antigen COVID-19 testing in advance of return to school.

School will resume in-person on Tuesday, Jan. 4. 

Meals on Monday, January 3

  • Buildings will be open during normal hours for those students who need to access meal services.
  • All schools will serve grab-and-go lunches between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for student meals.

Central District

McClure Middle School – Monday, January 3, 1 – 4 p.m.
1915 1st Ave. W

      • Test given: Abbott BinaxNOW rapid antigen tests (results in 15 minutes)
      • Tests administered by SPS staff and volunteers
      • Walk-in; no appointment needed
      • Consent form to print and fill out Forms will also be available at the school clinic.

 

Meany Middle School – Monday, January 3, 1 – 4 p.m.
301 21st Ave. E

      • Test given: Abbott BinaxNOW rapid antigen tests (results in 15 minutes)
      • Tests administered by SPS staff and volunteers
      • Walk-in; no appointment needed
      • Consent form to print and fill out Forms will also be available at the school clinic.

 

Washington Middle School – Monday, January 3, 1 – 4 p.m.

      • Test given: BD-Veritor rapid antigen tests (results in 15-30 minutes)
      • Tests administered by PMG
      • Walk-in; no appointment needed, but pre-registration will speed the process. See instructions for PMG testing.
