The next PTA General Meeting, 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, will open your eyes on how to be ready for emergencies. Don’t miss “Being Prepared for the Big One,” with guest Melanie Cole of the City of Seattle Office of Emergency Management. Free child care is available with RSVP (details below).
There are surprisingly simple ways to be better equipped in the event a disaster causes loss of heat and electricity, as well as food and water shortages.
In other business at the meeting, the PTA membership will be asked to vote on next year’s Board officers and the 2018-19 proposed budget. Also, Principal May will offer an update on school matters.
All are welcome! You don’t need to be a PTA member to attend.
FREE CHILD CARE, with PIZZA and MOVIE, is available for children (ages 5-12) whose parents are at the meeting. You MUST reserve your child’s place in advance – contact Cody at cpapka@seattleYMCA.org.
